AMP-2110B: 100GBASE-LR4 Quad (O-Band) Amplifier

The AMP-2110B chassis includes the optical Mux and Demux components which are compatible with 100GBASE-LR4 optical signals and allow each of the four wavelengths to be individually amplified using four SOA components.  The optical power in each wavelength is monitored at both the input (after the Demux) and at the output (prior to the Mux).  The amplifiers are initially configured to maintain a similar power level for all four wavelengths, however, the bias current for each SOA can be individually adjusted using the Ethernet (IP addressable) or USB interface.  Therefore, the output power level can be manually adjusted, if desired, by simply changing the bias current while monitoring the output power status.  A programmable Loss-of-Signal (LOS) indication can be setup and monitored for each wavelength.  An alarm condition is reported via the Ethernet and USB interface as well as by the front panel LED associated with the given wavelength.

This 1U 19” rack mountable chassis can be powered from dual, redundant -48VDC or 110/220VAC (universal) sources.  User control and status is provided by a 10/100BaseT Ethernet communications interface which allows either Static or Dynamic IP addressing.  A standard HTML browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer) provides the graphical user interface (GUI) and the various control and status HTML pages are integrated into the chassis’ firmware.  As an alternative method of control, a USB GUI is available so the chassis can be connected to a Windows based computer running the GUI software.  As with the IP addressable interface, the USB GUI provides complete control and status of all AMP-2110B chassis functions.  

The AMP-2110B can also be connected directly to a Windows based computer running the USB graphical user interface (GUI) software.  The USB GUI is also able to provide the same complete control and status of the module as the browser based GUI.
