Keith Riffee, Chief Executive OfficerKeith Riffee

Keith Riffee has over 25 years of technical and management experience developing complex communications systems and fiber optic telecom equipment. Keith managed all aspects of the telecom fiber optic transponder and transceiver product line while at JDS Uniphase including all product marketing and development. He also held various levels of engineering management positions at Harris Corporation which included communications systems and software organizations.  His engineering background coupled with a focus on efficient project execution provides leadership for the TPC team across a variety of custom design projects and unique product developments


Jim Wernlund, Chief Technical Officer

Jim Wernlund has designed, tested, and qualified telecommunications equipment for more than 25 years. His designs include synthesizers, modulators/demodulators as well as optical transmitters, receivers, transceivers, and transponders. As a chief systems engineer at JDS Uniphase he was responsible for all technical issues associated with the telecom transceivers product line including the resolution of customer and production issues while supporting new development projects. He led the engineering effort to transition the production of high volume optical transceivers from the U.S. based factory to Asia. Jim participated in optical module Multi-Source Agreements (MSA's) by reviewing and writing sections of the formal MSA document. He holds five U.S. patents for synthesizers, modulator control loops, and TEC architectures.

Rafael Martinez, Director of Engineering Development

Rafael Martinez has over 17 years of experience developing hardware and software designs for the communications industry. He has designed systems with FPGA's, DSP's, microcontrollers, lasers, modulators, and a variety of optical transceivers and transponders. Rafael develops real-time embedded firmware for optical regeneration modules as well as optical line cards with various active and passive optical components (e.g. EDFA, tunable filter, VOA, AWG). He has been responsible for leading the engineering development and production of multiple custom optical hardware and firmware/software designs.
